Beach

In March we went to the beach. We brought the whole family including Winzy our cat. She isn't in any of the photos because she wouldn't get out of the car. :)

April Fools: Cupcakes for dinner and Spaghetti for dessert...

I told my kids that we were having cupcakes for dinner... poor things were so excited...

Little did they know it was actually meatloaf cupcakes with mashed potato frosting...

I made it up to them when I gave them Spaghetti for dessert...

They were not impressed until they tasted the sauce which was strawberry jam. They finally forgave me for the meatloaf cupcakes when they saw that the spaghetti was cupcakes topped with icing topped with Ferrero Rocher chocolate hazelnut balls smothered in strawberry jam and finally topped with parmesan cheese- I mean ground up white chocolate. :)

Eating your placenta...

I read an article on the benefits of consuming your placenta: better milk supply (never an issue for me) and also helps with postpartum depression. Has anybody heard of this? Has anyone actually tried it?

28 weeks...

Tomorrow I will be 28 weeks. I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I am finally starting to feel more movement. I was beginning to think that I was having the laziest baby ever. :) I am learning that with your third pregnancy you pretty much have contractions non-stop. Hopefully that means my body is a pro at this and will give me an easy labor. :)

We are not finding out the sex of the baby, which is very new to me. My kids are so excited to find out what we will have. Of course Rylee wants a girl and Nathan wants a boy.

For anyone who doesn't know I am planning on having my baby at home. I am very excited about this. With both Rylee and Nathan, my pregnancies were high risk. I was the one that was considered high risk because of my heart condition. I had to go to Seattle every week and see a perinatologist. However after Nathan was born I had a procedure done on my heart and I am considered all better. No longer high risk. It has been so wonderful being able to have a midwife this time around.

If all goes according to plan :) I will blog about my birth story during labor. This is something I wish that I could have done with Rylee and Nathan. I forgot the details so fast. In the next few weeks I will share all that I can remember of their birth stories. Has anyone else blogged during their labor?

Words of... Nathan

Nathan loves to go to Grammy's house. She always lets him eat string cheese while he is there. We were dropping Rylee off to spend the night but Nathan couldn't because he was sick with a fever. He asked if he could go inside and I told him he needed to stay in the car so that he wouldn't get anyone sick. His reply was "I will only go in for a minute mom. I not gonna cough. I just want to get some cheese."
