Week in Review #1

I decided to combine my homeschool blog with the family blog. It is too hard keeping up so many blogs. :) So here we go...
This week...
Math U See- did 2 lessons
Bob Books- continued learning new books
Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons- did 6 lessons
Books on tape- Pippi Longstocking, Tales of the fourth grade nothing, Fudge Mania and The Lion the witch and the wardrobe.
They both played learning games on Nathan's Leapster.
Worked on Language Arts and Math lessons on Time4learning.
Learned about Beethoven and listened and danced to a song he composed.
Family Read aloud- Prince Caspian
Scripture Study- We will soon be finished with the Old Testament and should be starting the New Testament in February.
Some picture books we enjoyed- Green Eggs and Ham, Jamberry, Stems, Pete's a Pizza, A Kitten's Year and Bark, George.
Art/Activities- playdough, coloring, finger painting, beautiful junk
Science- Learned about the solar system
History- Read about Thomas Jefferson
Rylee also used her Tag reading system to read alone
This week we were back on the letter Aa which also reviewed numbers and colors
For our homeschool group we went on a field trip to Central Market in Mill Creek. It was a lot of fun.
And of course a lot of learning through play.

I am reading Jane Eyre (trying to read through the TJED list of classics-my new kindle is coming in handy)
I also read both of the TJED books and several books that I can't even remember (Must not have been very good.) :)

I will post some photos of our week soon but this was the overview...
