Rylee's Birth Story: Part 1- Pregnancy...

Rylee's Birth Story Part 2 Part 3

Nathan's Birth Story Part 1 Part 2

The Pregnancy:
The day I found out I was pregnant, Tim and I decided that if the baby was a boy we would name him Landen Michael and if the baby was a girl we would name her Rylee. We couldn't figure out a middle name.

The first few months of my pregnancy I was very sick. I lost weight. I could barely get of bed. It is a good thing it was my first pregnancy. Once I started feeling better I had a good pregnancy with the exception of two weeks of serious sciatica pain.  I couldn't move without crying. Tim had to carry me to the bathroom. I did enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. I wasn't to uncomfortable. Although I could barely stand the wait. I felt like I had a three year pregnancy. I couldn't wait to get her in my arms.

Tim and his mom and sisters came to the ultrasound with us. His mom had put a baby boy and baby girl hooded towel set in her car and after we found out she was a girl, she brought the pink one inside. They said they were 70% sure that she was a girl which didn't sound very sure to me so I left most of her stuff in the packages just in case. :)

Baby shower #1:

My cousin Michelle did my first baby shower. I was about 7 months pregnant...
She made the most delicious cookie dessert. I still crave this! Michelle are you listening...
I didn't get any photos of the guest together, but I got one of the presents... priorities... shame on me.

Baby Shower #2

Tim's sisters, Tami and Tennille, did my second baby shower.  I was about 8 months pregnant. It was a coed shower in his Uncle Steve and Aunt Cathy's beautiful backyard. Hey look, a photo of some of the guest... I would have to post about twenty photos to show all the gifts. I was definitely spoiled...

Tennille gave us the idea for Rylee's middle name... Jaynn at this baby shower.

And the cake...

Getting the room ready...

And here is what it is supposed to look like. :) A gift from Tim's mom and sisters...
The quilt my mom made for the baby...

When I was 37 weeks 5 days along, I suddenly had the urge to take inventory on everything I had. I pulled everything out of the closet, everything out of every bin, drawer and box. I wrote down everything that I thought I still needed. At about 1:00am I decided to go to bed and I would put everything back where it went the next day. I woke up at 3:00 am in the morning and realized I had peed in the bed...

What about homeschool...

I haven't posted to much about homeschool lately. We haven't done a lot of picture moment things. We have had some nice weather and on those days my kids pretty much spend the whole day outside. We have to take advantage of no rain when we can.

We have been doing a lot of math and reading lessons. As always we read a lot of books together. Our chapter book right now is Little House on the Prairie. We already read Little House in the Big Woods. Rylee loves this series. If it were up to her, we would read the whole book in one day. Nathan joins in sometimes.

We had our end of year celebration with our homeschool group which I will post photos of soon.

36 weeks tomorrow...

I don't have to much to update other than I am still pregnant. I am getting to be pretty uncomfortable at this point. I am sure it is pretty funny to see me try to get out of bed. My stomach muscles do not work at all. I kind of roll out of bed. I am also having sciatica pain on both sides of my hips.
Okay that was a lot of whining. I am so thankful to be pregnant and I cannot wait to meet my baby. :)
That is much better.

Tim's mom bought our baby it's first gift. A soft yellow blanket. Now there is one piece of proof in our home that a baby is coming. I have a lot of work to do this week for baby preparations. I am very excited to get the last things moved into the office so that I can set up the baby stuff in our room. At that point I will finally be ready to get the baby clothes and things that I have out in the storage shed and the attic. I am sure that after I hold all those newborn clothes it will be a lot harder to be patient.

35 weeks... yesterday...

It's getting close now. I can't believe how fast it went by. I am having so many contractions. Contractions that hurt enough to stop me in my tracks. Hopefully this means a fast labor. :)

I am not nearly prepared for this baby. My preperations are not going as smoothly as I would like. It isn't easy trying to fit another person in this small house, but we will manage. I still need to buy some pretty important things like a carseat and a stroller. Ummm, I should probably get on that. Rylee was exactly two weeks early and Nathan was born exactly on his due date. So I figure this baby will probably be two weeks late. However I still feel the need to be prepared for an early delivery so my deadline to be completely ready for this baby is in 13 days. Gasp!! It sounds a lot scarier when I type it out.

We are all very excited to meet this newest addition to our family. It's amazing how much love you can feel for an unborn baby. I am sure that the next few weeks are going to drag on and on for me. The last few weeks are always so hard and so worth it in the end. Please pray for a healthy baby and mama.
